Netflix’s Vivo

Social Campaign

ROLE: Senior Art Director

CLIENT: Netflix

AGENCY: BOND

For Vivo, the animated musical from Lin-Manuel Miranda and Alex Lacamoire, we partnered with Netflix to create a social campaign that highlighted the film’s infectious soundtrack. Our motion graphics danced to the beat, bringing the music to life and capturing the energy of the kinkajou’s journey from Cuba to Miami.

Bringing Characters to Life

We created social content designed for talent to connect directly with fans by putting a face to the animated characters. Highlights included cast warm-ups and Florida-inspired trivia games, all crafted to match the playful tone of the film.

Exploring New Platforms

We extended the campaign beyond standard social, experimenting with platforms like Pinterest and Spark AR. On Pinterest, we hosted a “pinning party” with composer Alex Lacamoire, guiding fans through his creative inspirations, which earned priority ad placement and strong engagement. We also launched an AR lens that transformed users into characters from the film, timed to national screenings for an added layer of fan interaction.

We teamed up with the AV department to produce TV spots for ESPN, themed around the Tokyo Summer Olympics and other major sporting events. I designed and animated the interstitial graphics to create a high-energy tie-in that aligned with the broader campaign.

AV Teasers

Giphy Sticker Pack

To cap off the campaign, we animated a set of vibrant Giphy stickers for Instagram Stories, giving fans a fun, expressive way to engage with the film and share the love.
